Care Instructions: Hand Wash Only. Following each of the first three washings (soap and water), lightly sand the utensil with a fine-grit sandpaper when it is dry. This will remove the roughness caused due to the grain raising. Apply a light coating of food-safe mineral oil (see Related Items below) after each sanding. The utensil should now have a smooth finish. Occasional applications of food-safe mineral oil will keep the wood from drying out and help to prevent staining.
