Almost everyone has pressed a leaf or flower over their lifetime. It is a lovely way to remember a certain time of year or occasion. This fall, take a moment and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us. Our world is beautiful and though it is awfully tough out there right now, the simple act of holding a colorful leaf in ones hand can bring back wonderful memories gone by and a chance to make new ones. Here is an easy way to save some that beauty!
How to Press Autumn Leaves:
- Gather your favorite fall leaves while they are still bright and soft. Make sure to dry them if they are damp.
- Place between 2 pieces of paper. It can be newspaper, paper towels, craft paper or book pages. If using a book do not use a good one as the moisture can damage the pages. I use something like an old phone book.
- Place a heavy weight on your stacked leaves and allow to dry naturally for a few weeks.
- Use your leaves to create autumn inspired crafts. Here are some ideas to get you started.
Didn't I tell you it was easy?
